A hostess KTV combines karaoke with paid company during the venue visit. Use the main What is a KTV? guide as the starting point. This older companion page now concentrates on the booking questions that distinguish a hostess venue from a family karaoke reservation.
Establish what is being booked
| Question | What the booking reply should say |
|---|---|
| Venue and room | The correct address, room, party size and reservation time. |
| Duration | The initial session, any happy-hour conditions, extension periods and checkout deadline. |
| Orders | Which drinks or food are included, any minimum spend, and what is additional. |
| Company | Whether requested company has a separate charge and what time or arrangement it covers. |
| Final payment | Service charge, tax, tips, deposit and accepted payment methods. |
There is no universal session or tip
The earlier version gave fixed session blocks and Singapore dollar examples without establishing a current source for every venue. Those figures have been removed from this maintained introduction and remain in history. [1] A confirmed charge at a Tokyo lounge does not establish a Singapore KTV charge; for example, 703's published automatic extension is expressly for that venue. [2]
Where to continue
Read Singapore KTV FAQs before enquiring, browse Singapore KTVs, and check Terms and Acronyms for unfamiliar billing language. Historical tipping guides are labelled with the year they describe.
