History

Japantown (Saigon), also known as the Lê Thánh Tôn Street, is a vibrant nightlife area in the District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This lively area boasts an eclectic mix of Hostess Bars, KTVs, Massage Spas, regular bars, clubs and a variety of restaurants, including some of the best Japanese restaurants outside of Japan. Despite its name, Japantown attracts a diverse crowd, with a significant influx of visitors from nearby Asian nations as well as globetrotters from around the world. The multilingual staff in the area's venues are particularly adept, with English and Japanese being the most commonly spoken languages, closely followed by Korean and Chinese. Overall Saigon's Japantown is a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all visitors, making it a cosmopolitan hotspot for nightlife enthusiasts.
