Bar fine = payment to the bar or club to release the hostess to you for a certain amount of time
Booking = Pay extra to ensure that the hostess stays with you for an extended amount of time
Butterfly = When the hostess move from room to room (KTV) or table to table (Club)
Casual Clothes Shop = Higher-end KTV in Taiwan
Chiong = To go all out at a nightlife venue and/or party aggressively (Singaporean slang)
Contest =
Damage = Total cost of a session at a KTV
Dohan = Have dinner with your hostess then go to her club together (Japanese style)
Dress Shop = Mid-range KTV in Taiwan
Family KTV = KTV without hostesses
Five-Ten (5-10) = A drinking game
FJ = full job
FL = freelancer
Frame Shop = Higher-end KTV in Taiwan specializing in booking
FS = full service
Ganbu = mama-san / papa-san / agent for KTVs and Massages in Taiwan
Girls Bar = Counter bar with hostesses in Japan (Kyabakura > Girls Bar > Snack Bar)
Gogo Bar =
Hamsup = Cantonese word for Perverted but has special meaning in Singapore KTVs
HH = Happy hour
Hotel = Many different definitions depending on the location
Hotness = level of beauty and sexiness
Hostess Bar = Combine elements of Girls Bar and Hostess Club, Outside Japan
Hostess KTV = KTV with hostesses (opposite of Family KTV)
KTV = A karaoke place with hostesses
Kyabakura = Hostess Club in Japan (Kyabakura > Girls Bar > Snack Bar)
lady drink = an overpriced drink for the girl or hostess working for the venue. She earns a commission from the drink.
LD = lady drink
Line-up = a group of hostesses line up for the customer to choose
LT = Long time - usually 3 shots (until morning - 6-8 hours)
Liar’s Dice = A drinking game
Minimum spend = Least amount of money you need to spend to book a room at a venue
Mummy = The woman in charge of the hostesses in a KTV.
NH = Night hour
Papa = Male version of mummy / mama-san
Papa-san = Male version of mummy / mama-san
Playability = Willingness of a hostess to engage in flirtatious and more intimate activities with the customer
PR = Girl hired by the club / venue in Thailand (opposite of freelancer), same as hostess
Rock paper scissors = A drinking game
Room charge = cost for using the karaoke room
Room salon = Korean version of KTV/Hostess club
The SEA Special = Nose job + Boob job
