What are the basic costs of a KTV outing?
Alcohol cost (to cover the room), mummy tip, waiter tip, and tips for each hostess who sits with your group. This would add up to be about S$300 SGD for the lowest amount. That's why we always go in groups of 3-4 to keep costs low.

What is butterflying? Why do KTV hostesses butterfly?
Butterflying is the fact that girls have other rooms and guests to serve, and they will usually serve 4 rooms per session. They will spend 15-20 mins in your room before going to another and you can expect them to come back in a while. If you don't want her to go, you can ask to "book" her for a fee. Usually S$400-S$500.
How many KTV hostesses should I choose at a time?
It all depends on your budget and the selection of girls, and how busy they are. I usually choose 1 or 2 but choose as many or as few (0) as you'd like. Note that in most cases, 2 hostesses will not sit with you at the same time. When the girl currently sitting with you sees a newly arriving girl, the current girl will usually butterfly away to allow you to sit with the incoming girl to reduce your time alone.
How do I tip the KTV hostess and not get "cut" (ripped off)?

Note that it would cost more than the standard tip to make the girl not butterfly and stay with you through the entire session. If you don't like a girl you can also cancel her (prematurely stop her from sitting with you) by paying her a portion of the tip, usually 30 or 50 depending on how long she has sat with you already.
How do I cancel a KTV Hostess?
Just let the mummy know and they will take care of it for you to avoid awkward situations. Otherwise, you can tell your girl that you'd like her to stop sitting with you. What happens after depends on how gracious the girl is, and this should only be done latest at the 2nd sitting.
How do I interact with the KTV Hostess?
You start with the basic questions: what's your name? how old are you? what do you like to do? Yes, we go to KTVs to be entertained by hostesses, but putting in the effort makes the interaction much more enjoyable. She might even like you more. Treat it as a date and bring out your oratorical skills.
What is the playability of the KTV Hostess?

The playable ones (high playability): YES. The not playable ones (low playability): also YES, but harder. Just go for the high playability girls, and make it easy for everyone. What is a mummy or mama-san in KTVs?
On the surface, mummies might seem quite superfluous. Just another expense you have to bear. But if you think a bit harder (or just visit a KTV without mummies), you'd realize just how important they are. Mummies serve as both the promoters of the club and, more importantly, the wranglers of girls in the KTV. They make sure guests have a good time, and that girls do not spend too much time away from the room.
In a large KTV, there might be a dozen or more mummies running around. They compete with each other to provide the best girls and ensure the girls give the best service.
Also, there are male managers called papas.
Can I fuck the KTV mummy / mama-san?
Yes, anything is possible. There are many lovely and sexy mummies, so I understand why you're tempted. Keep in mind that a mummy has to keep the respect of her girls, so she can't just fuck any joe schmoe. So if you were able to fuck a mummy, please keep it on the down-low.
What are the best days of the week to go to KTVs?
Tuesday to Thursday are the best days to go. KTVs are the least busy on those days, so you can choose from a larger selection of girls, and they will stay with you for longer periods of time. KTVs are also not that busy on Sunday and Monday, but a lot of girls rest on those days.
What are the worst days of the week to go to KTVs?
Friday and sometimes Saturday. Some KTVs may be less busy on saturday.
What is the best time slot to go to KTVs? Should I go to the happy hour, night, or the late night session?
Happy hours are cheap if you'd like to drink a lot, but girls don't come so early. The upside is there aren't many customers too, and you might get the hostess to sit with you for a longer time. Night sessions are usually the most busy. Many girls will be there, but they will also have more rooms to serve. Late night sessions are tricky, on one hand, girls can be drunk, so it's easier to play. On the other, late night sessions may get cut earlier as the KTV prepares to close, usually at 2:30.
Am I too good looking / handsome to go to KTVs?
All the better. If you are good looking, you have a better chance of getting girls. It's not a one way street. Girls can pick you too, and your mileage might be better.
Am I too ugly to go to KTVs?
Nope, KTVs are places where money talks. So if you have the cash, who cares? But you should still make an effort to be well-groomed, and take care of your personal hygiene. Girls don't like sitting with someone who looks like he hasn't showered for a week.
Am I too poor to go to KTVs?
Yes. If you had to ask that question, then yes. If you're stingy and only looking for hanky panky, there are other places that offer far higher ROI. Like online freelance escorts.
